From Christmas 2000 for 10 years or so, we used to hold a ‘Winter Picnic’ at Rusland Reading Rooms. People and their dogs would walk from Oxen Park and other parts of Rusland to meet at the Reading Rooms for a party with mulled wine, food, games and carol-singing.
